We're seeking an experienced and technically solid Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in this newly created position. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in strengthening our financial reporting and compliance framework, with responsibility across financial accounting, statutory reporting, audit, compliance lodgements and grant acquittals.

What you'll do n

- Prepare and lodge indirect tax returns including BAS, GST, FBT and payroll tax.

- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
n
- Own the preparation of statutory accounts and corporate reporting obligations.
n
- Lead audit readiness activities, including preparation of annual audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
n
- Support the Finance Manager with financial reporting, analysis and process improvements.

What you'll bring nn
- A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing & alignment to our Busy Bee values.

- Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, finance or a related field.
n
- CPA or CA qualification is mandatory.
n
- Strong technical knowledge of current Australian Accounting Standards and demonstrated experience with statutory financial reporting.
n




- Demonstrated experience preparing statutory financial statements, compliance reporting and audit workpapers.
n
- High-level proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
n
- Prior experience in large multi-site operations (e.g., childcare, retail, or healthcare) is highly regarded.
