The Risk Analyst is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's trading risk management framework in line with internal risk policies and controls. The role provides real-time oversight of client trading activity, market exposure, margin risk, liquidity and hedging, while identifying abnormal trading behaviour and emerging risk issues within the CFD trading environment.

This position is based in Sydney CBD.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Conduct risk assessments across client trading activity, market exposure and operational risk.
n
- Monitor real-time trading risk, including client positions, market exposure, leverage, margin utilization and liquidation risk.
n
- Monitor and investigate abnormal account activity and trading behaviour and elevate high-risk accounts in accordance with internal risk control policies.
n
- Identify and elevate material or emerging risk issues in a timely manner.
n
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk control strategies.
n
- Monitor liquidity, hedging activity and A-book/B-book exposure.
n
- Monitor concentration risk and material exposures across clients, instruments and asset classes.
n
- Support analysis of trading execution, liquidity and market conditions where required.
n
- Maintain daily risk registers, monitoring reports and risk-related analysis.
n
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including the Dealing Desk, Customer Service, Compliance and other relevant teams.

About you nn
- Tertiary qualification, preferably in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related discipline
n




- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in FX/CFD industry
n
- Sound understanding of forex trading mechanisms including leveraged trading, margin system and liquidation mechanism.
n
- Robust attention to details and possess a risk mindset.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly.
n
- Independent, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities in a real-time environment.
n
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills when working with internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Python/SQL skills highly desirable
n
- Familiarity with MT4/MT5 trading platforms and bridge systems is a strong advantage
