Job Description
Business Development Manager - Virtual Allied Health & Specialist Services n
Help build the future of virtual allied health and specialist care
n
Sydney
n Hybrid, Full Time
n
Our client is an established national virtual healthcare provider with a robust reputation and a loyal B2B customer base across aged care, hospitals, primary care, PHNs, insurers and government-funded programs. They're now expanding into virtual allied health and specialist services, and they need a commercially sharp, clinically credible Business Development Manager to shape and grow this new division.
n
If you understand how allied health and specialist services are funded and referred, and you get energised by turning a service gap into a signed contract, keep reading.
What you'll be doing n
n
- Opening doors that already exist. You'll start by taking new virtual allied health and specialist offerings to the client's existing partners, so you won't be cold-calling into the void.
n
- Creating markets that don't. You'll map where virtual care solves real problems, such as workforce shortages, long wait lists, rural and after-hours access gaps, and complex multidisciplinary care.
n
- Talking to decision-makers. You'll work with CEOs, practice principals, clinical directors, insurer leaders, PHN executives and public health stakeholders, often co-designing solutions in the room.
n
- Turning conversations into revenue.
You'll run a disciplined CRM pipeline and take opportunities through pilots, proposals, tenders and contracts.
n
- Having a voice in the product. You'll feed what you hear in the market back into service design, pricing and positioning, and later help shape a direct-to-consumer offering.
n
What you'll bring nn
- A background in business development, partnerships, consulting or commercial roles within healthcare, ideally allied health or specialist services
n
- A clinical background in allied health or paramedicine (highly regarded), or nursing or health management
n
- A working knowledge of the Australian funding landscape: MBS, private health insurance, NDIS, DVA, workers' compensation, CTP and PHN commissioning
n
- A track record of building pipelines in long-cycle, relationship-led markets
n
- The ability to translate clinical models into compelling commercial proposals and business cases
n
- Strong writing and presentation skills, including tenders
n
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience, and a willingness to travel nationally
n
Why this role stands out nn
- A genuine ground-floor opportunity to build and lead a new business line
n
- The backing of an established organisation with real market credibility
n
- Room to think creatively and solve unstructured problems, rather than follow a script
n
- Visible impact on access to care for patients who currently go without
n
- Hybrid working from Sydney, with national exposure
