This is a hands-on role involving freight acceptance and delivery, customer service, administration and cargo processing , with a strong focus on safety, security and providing a high level of service to customers.
THE ROLE Reporting to the Cargo Coordinator , you will be responsible for coordinating freight acceptance and delivery procedures while ensuring all company policies, safety requirements and operational standards are followed.
Key responsibilities include:

- Processing documentation for freight acceptance and delivery
n
- Completing and processing Live Animal check sheets
n
- Entering freight details accurately into the cargo system
n
- Creating invoices and reconciling banking to ensure all applicable charges are collected
n
- Processing cash and electronic transactions
n
- Assisting customers with enquiries and resolving customer complaints professionally
n
- Maintaining strong and professional customer relationships
n
- Performing general filing and administrative duties
n
- Performing callouts as required
n
- Operating equipment and systems safely, securely and efficiently
n
- Reporting equipment, facility, system or process faults and irregularities to management
n
- Managing operational disruptions and irregularities with confidence and composure
n
- Providing general operational support and working down as directed
n

ABOUT YOU n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Previous cargo, freight, aviation, transport, administration or customer service experience
n
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
n
- Experience or ability to learn cargo management systems
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- High attention to detail and robust numerical ability
n
- A professional and customer-focused approach
n
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational workplace
n
- A willingness and ability to work shift work
n
- A sound understanding of workplace procedures and policies
n
- Dangerous Goods awareness and understanding of handling requirements
n
- Strong security awareness
n
- Ability to obtain, hold and maintain a valid ASIC
n

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR n

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, safety-focused and confident dealing with customers and operational challenges .
n Previous aviation or cargo experience will be highly regarded, however, candidates with strong administration, customer service and operational experience who are keen to build a career within the aviation industry are encouraged to apply.
