The Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated Housekeeping and Laundry Assistants to join our team at Mount Martha Aged Care Facility on a casual basis.

n

In this important role, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that enhances the comfort, dignity, and wellbeing of our residents. Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry services throughout the home.

n

You will be part of a warm, resident-centred community, building positive connections with older people, including those living with dementia, illness, or disability, while helping to ensure they feel valued, respected, and at home.

Your Responsibilities: n

n
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchens,
n
- laundry areas, and communal spaces in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards.

n
- Complete daily cleaning tasks using the electronic cleaning system (tablet) and follow all cleaning schedules and procedures.

n
- Perform floor, carpet, bathroom, and general cleaning duties using appropriate equipment and infection control practices.

n
- Ensure compliance with OH&S; requirements, accreditation standards,



and infection prevention protocols, including the use of colour‑coded cleaning equipment.

n
- Safely handle, use, store, and monitor cleaning chemicals and supplies, maintaining adequate stock levels at all times.

n
- Replenish consumables, maintain cleaning equipment and trolleys, and support a clean, safe, and welcoming workplace for residents, visitors, and staff.

What We’re Looking For: nn
- Experience in Housekeeping and Laundry in aged care
n
- Genuine empathy for older people and a positive, uplifting attitude
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or Police Check (Mandatory)
n
- COVID‑19 and annual Influenza vaccinations highly encouraged
n
