The opportunity n

We are looking for an experienced Windows Subject Matter Expert to join our Infrastructure Managed Services team.

What you’ll do n

n
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including patching, configuration and performance monitoring.
n
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, organisational units, DNS and DHCP.
n
- Administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) for software deployment, operating system deployment and compliance reporting.
n
- Provide Level 3 escalation support for complex Windows incidents and service requests.
n
- Support VMware vSphere administration, including virtual machine provisioning, patching and performance management.
n
- Contribute to server builds, migrations, upgrades and broader infrastructure projects.
n
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine operational tasks.
n
- Produce technical documentation, support procedures and knowledge-base articles.
n
- Work closely with the Wintel Lead to establish and maintain technical standards and best practices.
n




- Participate in change advisory processes and an on-call rotation.
n

What you’ll bring nn
- Extensive experience in Windows Server administration, ideally within a complex enterprise environment.
n
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2012 R2 through to Windows Server 2022.
n
- Solid SCCM/MECM experience, including task sequences, software packages and compliance baselines.
n
- In-depth Active Directory administration experience covering schema, replication and Group Policy troubleshooting.
n
- Strong DNS administration and troubleshooting capability.
n
- Hands-on VMware vSphere experience, including vCenter management and the virtual machine lifecycle.
n
- Proficient PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
n
- Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments.
n
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Ballarat.
n

- Experience with Nutanix environments.
n
- Microsoft Azure, Entra ID or hybrid identity experience.
n
- Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE or VCP.
