Western Sydney | Hybrid Working Arrangement | 4-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Initial Engagement)

NEC Australia is seeking a Senior Network Engineer - Field Services & Customer Operations to join our Managed Services team supporting a key enterprise customer in Western Sydney.

n

This is an initial 4-month fixed-term engagement offering a hybrid working arrangement, combining onsite customer support with remote collaboration. As the primary technical contact for operational issues, you will provide hands-on support across network, wireless, security and infrastructure environments while delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Provide onsite and remote support for network, wireless and security services.
n
- Investigate and resolve connectivity, switching, VLAN and firewall-related incidents.
n
- Support Aruba switching, wireless and ClearPass environments.
n
- Assist with Palo Alto firewall operations, troubleshooting and monitoring.
n
- Perform authorised data centre hands-and-eyes activities, including cabling and equipment inspections.
n
- Work closely with customer stakeholders, end users, vendors and specialist engineering teams.
n




- Maintain accurate incident, request and change records through ITSM platforms.
n
- Deliver clear communication and a high standard of customer service.
n

About You n

You are a hands-on Network Engineer with experience supporting enterprise environments and a strong customer-first approach.

Experience & Skills n

n
- Network engineering, field services, infrastructure support or network operations experience.
n
- Strong troubleshooting skills across LAN, WLAN, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and IP networking.
n
- Experience with Aruba switching and wireless technologies.
n
- Exposure to Aruba ClearPass and Palo Alto firewalls.
n
- Experience working in enterprise or managed services environments.
n
- Data centre support and ITSM experience highly regarded.
n

Desirable Certifications nn
- Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) or Qualified (ACSP)
n
- Aruba ClearPass Certification
n
- ITIL Foundation
n
