Join an innovative defence company developing advanced signal processing, AI and machine learning solutions for complex sensing and detection applications.
n This is a hands-on engineering role combining digital signal processing, algorithms and machine learning. You’ll work with complex real-world data and develop intelligent algorithms that can detect, classify and interpret signals in challenging environments.
n The role will be involved across the development lifecycle — from data preparation and algorithm development through to training, testing and deployment of AI/ML models.
n Working closely with software and engineering teams, you’ll develop solutions that combine traditional signal processing techniques with contemporary machine learning approaches.
n Key Skills:
n Signal Processing / Algorithms:
n
n
- Signal processing knowledge (digital signals, audio processing, image processing)
n
- Sensor/hydrophone knowledge (sensitivity, directivity)
n
Machine Learning / AI: nn
- PyTorch and/or TensorFlow experience (and related Python skills)
n
- Experience with data wrangling/hygiene in exotic domains (e.g. acoustic, environmental)
n
- Experience implementing and training bespoke AI/ML models
n
- Familiarity with recent literature/applications or supervised/self-supervised and RL techniques
n
Software Engineering: nn
- C++ design and implementation skills
n
- Python design and implementation skills
n
- Windows or Linux experience (application programming/deployment)
n
- Visual Studio / VS Code experience (primary IDE)
n
- Git experience
