We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand Boilermaker/Welder to join our workshop team.

This is a hands‑on role suited to a trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder who has demonstrated leadership ability and supervisory experience within a fabrication or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping coordinate workshop activities, supporting team members and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the Role n

Working closely with the Workshop Manager and Supervisors, you will:

Lead and support a team of fabrication and welding personnel

n
- n

Assist with the day‑to‑day supervision of workshop activities

n
- n

Coordinate workflow to meet production schedules

n
- n

Carry out fabrication and welding work as required

n
- n

Ensure work is completed to required quality standards

n
- n

Promote and maintain safe work practices

n
- n

Lead by example and foster a positive team culture

n
- n

Assist with training and mentoring apprentices and less experienced employees

n

About You n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- n

A relevant trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Welder

n
- n

Extensive welding and fabrication experience

n
- n

Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings

n
- n

Previous experience in a Leading Hand, Supervisor or similar role, or demonstrated experience supervising small teams

n
- n

Strong communication and organisational skills

n
- n

Proven ability to lead by example and support team performance

n
- n

Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality
