The Opportunity n

Join a well-established investment firm as a Financial Accountant. Working closely with the Executive team and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth financial operations, strong governance, and accurate reporting across a complex group of entities.

The Challenge n

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Managing month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions and adjustments.
n
- Preparing audit-ready balance sheet, bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations and supporting schedules.
n
- Reviewing ledger activity, investigating issues and maintaining fixed asset and depreciation records.
n
- Supporting financial controls, governance, statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance, including GST, BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, FBT and income tax.
n
- Preparing grant financial reports,



acquittals and R&D; Tax Incentive workpapers.
n
- Preparing short-term cash flow forecasts and supporting treasury, banking and payment activities.
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting and reconciliations through automation and standardisation.
n

The Expertise n

Please consider expressing interest if you possess the following:

n

n
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
n
- Experience within Business Services, Private Business, Private Clients, Family Office or Advisory teams within a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
n
- Solid understanding of Australian tax, trusts, and related party transactions
n
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills, with exposure to Acumatica or similar systems.
