A 3 month contract prospect has become available for an experienced Payroll Manager to join a successful and highly regarded organisation.

Based in the Brisbane CBD, you will take ownership of a relatively small but diverse payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while managing all associated payroll compliance, reporting and queries.

This is a hands‑on position suited to an experienced payroll professional who can quickly understand an existing payroll environment and operate confidently with minimal supervision.
The Role n
Reporting into senior finance leadership, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the end‑to‑end payroll process
n
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries, wages, allowances and deductions
n
- Managing payroll across a diverse employee population
n
- Processing current starters, terminations and employee changes
n
- Managing superannuation, leave and payroll‑related obligations
n
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Awards, legislation and employment conditions
n
- Completing payroll reconciliations and reporting
n
- Managing month‑end and payroll‑related reporting requirements
n
- Responding to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
n
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee data
n
- Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies
n
- Working closely with Finance, HR and other internal stakeholders
n
- Supporting continuous improvement of payroll processes and controls
n
About You n
You will be an experienced P ayroll Manager, Senior Payroll Officer or Payroll Lead with strong end‑to‑end payroll knowledge.
n
You will ideally bring:

- Solid Australian payroll experience
n
- Excellent understanding of payroll legislation, Awards and compliance
n
- Experience managing an end‑to‑end payroll independently
n
- Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
n
- High attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- The ability to quickly learn systems and processes
n
- A professional, organised and hands‑on approach
n
- Availability to commence at short notice would be highly regarded
n
