Staff Specialist Otolaryngologist – ENT n

Rockhampton Hospital is the specialist healthcare hub for Central Queensland, providing comprehensive tertiary-level regional care to patients across a large and diverse catchment.

With 305 beds and a broad range of medical and surgical specialties, the hospital provides an excellent environment for an experienced ENT specialist to make a significant contribution to patient care, service development, teaching and outreach.

The Opportunity n
Your role will include:
n
n
- Lead specialist ENT care across inpatient, outpatient and operating theatre settings.
n
- Provide evidence-based assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients requiring specialist Otolaryngology care.
n
- Contribute to strengthening and developing ENT services across Central Queensland.
n
- Participate in the ENT after-hours on-call roster.
n
- Support patients across the wider Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service through outreach and telehealth clinics.
n
- Opportunities may include service delivery across Biloela, Emerald, Gladstone, Woorabinda, Capricorn Coast, Barcaldine and Longreach.
n
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, hospital services and community partners.
n
- Contribute to clinical governance, clinical audit, quality improvement and service development.
n
- Provide supervision, teaching and education to undergraduate and postgraduate clinicians.
n
- Contribute to research and maintain ongoing career development and specialist expertise.

About You n
You will be a qualified specialist Otolaryngologist with broad clinical experience and a commitment to high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
n
n
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
n
- Qualifications and experience required for Specialist Registration in Otolaryngology in Australia.
n
- FRACS (Otolaryngology) or evidence that you have commenced the RACS comparability assessment.
n
- An appropriate College CME program.
n
- Broad clinical experience across Otolaryngology.
n
- A strong commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
n
- Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills.
n
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
- A commitment to teaching,
supervision and professional development.
n
- An interest in service development, clinical governance, audit and research.

Remuneration & Benefits n
The total remuneration package is valued at up to $564,939 per annum, comprising:
n

- Base salary rates between $223,136 – $259,187 p.a.
n
- Higher salary rates between $266,836 – $282,912 p.a.
n
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
n
- 17.5% leave loading
n
- Professional Development Leave and Allowance of $22,145 p.a. / 3.6 weeks
n
