We are looking for a positive and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join our KCGM Operations in this Kalgoorlie Residential role.

n

Reporting to the Senior Health & Safety Advisor you will provide guidance and support to site-based teams on matters relating to safety, health, hygiene, and systems.

What you can look forward to: n

- Ensure site teams comply with the relevant regulations and continually develop the Safety Management System to remain relevant to all Stakeholders.
n
- Provide continuous support, guidance and direction to employees and contractors for all safety and health requirements.
n
- Review with the Manager–Safety serious incident investigations to ensure adequate quality and remedial actions are appropriate and implemented.
n
- Participate in risk assessments of site work activities and conditions.
n
- Monitor the completion of recommendations and actions from incident investigations, inspections, and audits.
n

Where you’ll add value: nn
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in WHS
n
- An understanding of mining and minerals processing operations.
n
- Knowledge of safety programs and recognised safety management systems.
n
- Detailed understanding of the relevant acts and regulations.
n
- Experience in incident investigations, workplace inspections and audits.
n

Qualifications: nn
- Maximum of 5 - 7 bullet points is suggested for Blue Collar, and 7-10 max for White Collar
n
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) or a related discipline.
n
- Lead Auditor Qualifications.
n
- St John Senior First Aid certificate or equivalent.
n

Our Kalgoorlie Production Centre includes KCGM, Carosue Dam and Kalgoorlie Operations (Kanowna Belle and South Kalgoorlie), bringing together a portfolio of established assets within one of Australia’s most recognised mining regions. Supported by a robust residential workforce and longstanding mining history, the centre offers the opportunity to contribute across a large-scale operational environment within the Goldfields region.
