Our client is a growing Tier 2 builder with a robust presence across the Melbourne construction market and an expanding pipeline of major projects.

With continued growth across the business, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Manager to join the team and take a key role in the delivery of a circa $150M apartment development in Melbourne.

n

The business offers the systems, structure and project scale associated with a larger contractor, while maintaining a hands-on environment where senior project staff remain closely involved in the day-to-day delivery of their projects.

About the Role n

Working closely with the Construction Manager and broader project team, you will take a senior leadership role across the delivery of a major $150M apartment project.

n

This position will suit an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager who is comfortable operating across all aspects of project delivery and isn't looking to simply manage from a distance.

n

You will remain hands-on across programme, procurement, design, commercial matters, subcontractor management and client relationships, while providing leadership and direction to the wider project team.

Key responsibilities will include: n

- Lead the day-to-day delivery of a circa $150M apartment development
n
- Manage programme, procurement, design and construction activities
n
- Work closely with the commercial team across contracts, variations and project financials
n
- Manage subcontractor performance and key trade packages
n
- Drive programme and ensure key project milestones are achieved
n




- Maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants and key stakeholders
n
- Identify and manage project risks throughout delivery
n
- Lead, mentor and support the project delivery team
n
- Work closely with site management to resolve construction and delivery issues
n
- Maintain high standards across quality, safety and project reporting
n

Job Requirements n

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

n

n
- 8+ years' experience within the Australian construction industry
n
- Current experience at Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level
n
- Strong Tier 1 or Tier 2 head contractor experience
n
- Experience working on projects of significant scale and complexity
n
- Strong understanding of construction methodology, programme and sequencing
n
- Sound commercial and contractual knowledge
n
- Strong subcontractor and consultant management experience
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- A genuinely hands-on approach to project delivery
n
- Relevant construction, engineering or building qualification preferred
n

Candidates who have progressed through Project Engineer, Contract Administrator or similar delivery-focused positions before moving into Project Management will be highly regarded.
