Job Description
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior HR Adviser to join a Commonwealth Government organisation, providing specialist workplace relations advice across a broad range of employment matters.
n
Working closely with managers and employees, you will interpret and apply Commonwealth employment legislation, policies and frameworks to deliver practical and consistent workplace outcomes.
Key responsibilities n
n
- Provide expert workplace relations advice to managers and employees.
n
- Interpret and apply Commonwealth employment legislation, industrial instruments, policies and procedures.
n
- Support the development and review of employment policies, guidance materials and workplace practices.
n
- Research and analyse complex workplace relations matters and provide clear recommendations to decision-makers.
n
- Contribute to workplace relations projects and broader people initiatives.
n
- Build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
n
- Support organisational change and promote a positive workplace culture, including employee wellbeing and psychosocial safety.
n
About you n
You will bring:
n
n
- Demonstrated workplace relations experience, ideally within the Commonwealth public sector.
n
- A strong understanding of public sector employment legislation, frameworks and policy.
n
- The ability to interpret industrial instruments and provide explicit,
practical advice.
n
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
n
- Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive employment matters.
n
- The ability to work independently under limited direction and contribute effectively within a team.
n
n
Qualifications in human resources, industrial relations, employment law or business management will be highly regarded.
n
Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
