Account Manager - Federal Government n

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Canberra-based IT solutions provider with a strong reputation for delivering secure, scalable technology outcomes into the federal government sector.

They are seeking a high-performing Account Manager to take ownership of key government accounts, drive new business opportunities, and work closely with internal technical teams to deliver value-led solutions across cloud, security, infrastructure, and managed services.

About the Role n

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships across federal government agencies. You’ll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, shaping solution offerings, and driving account growth through strategic engagement and service excellence. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the government procurement landscape and enjoys working in a collaborative, solutions-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities n

- Manage a portfolio of existing government clients and grow strategic relationships
n
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the public sector
n
- Collaborate with technical teams to scope and propose tailored solutions
n
- Stay across market trends, competitor activity, and evolving client needs
n
- Support pipeline development, reporting,



and forecasting
n

What We’re Looking For nn
- Demonstrated success in IT sales or account management, preferably within the federal government space
n
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and relationship management
n
- Familiarity with technology solutions including cloud, infrastructure, security, or managed services
n
- Strong communication skills and a consultative, client-first mindset
n
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and results-oriented
n
- Australian Citizenship is essential due to client requirements
n
