We are in search of a proactive and motivated lawyer to join our agile Personal Injury law team. Located in our Melbourne CBD office, you will collaborate closely with Special Counsel, engaging in a mix of plaintiff personal injury and defendant litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions.
n
Ideal candidates will demonstrate autonomy and initiative, possess familiarity with standard processes in personal injury/historical abuse claims and exhibit a desire to forge and advance their career within our esteemed Firm.
Key Responsibilities n
n
- Direct liaison with clients, providing accurate and timely advice
n
- Preparation of Court documents/orders and general correspondence
n
- Management of high-volume files and matters with occasional supervision
n
- Attendance at court, dispute resolution, and settlements
n
- Legal research
n
Successful candidates will have nn
- A valid VIC Practising Certificate
n
- Up to three (3) years' experience in roles such as Clerk/Paralegal or Lawyer in Personal Injury/Litigation Law (essential)
n
- A demonstrated understanding of personal injury matters and processes (preferred)
n
- The ability to maintain client confidentiality and handle matters with sensitivity
n
- Strong negotiation, mediation and advocacy skills
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Strong client relationship and business development skills
n
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
n
n
