As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Audio Technician to join our Sydney team.
About the Role n
This is a hands-on live events role for an audio professional who takes pride in delivering clear, reliable and high-quality sound.
n
You will work across a broad variety of productions, from conferences, gala dinners and product launches to concerts, theatre, festivals and other live entertainment events.
n
n
- Preparing, testing and maintaining professional audio equipment
n
- Installing and operating audio systems for live events
n
- Mixing front of house and monitors where required
n
- Setting up microphones, wireless systems, consoles, stage boxes and communications equipment
n
- Assisting with system design, signal flow and equipment selection
n
- Testing and troubleshooting audio systems onsite
n
- Working closely with technical directors, production managers, other departments and clients
n
- Supervising crew and providing technical guidance where appropriate
n
- Ensuring equipment is safely installed, operated and returned
n
- Maintaining accurate equipment and job documentation
n
- Representing NW Group professionally at venues and client events
n
About You n
We are looking for someone who is passionate about live audio and enjoys working as part of a professional production team.
n
Ideally, you will bring:
n
n
- A minimum of two years’ experience as an Audio Technician in live events
n
- Experience working across corporate events, arts or live entertainment productions
n
- Strong knowledge of digital audio consoles, professional loudspeaker systems, wireless microphones and communications systems
n
- A sound understanding of signal flow, gain structure, patching and audio networking
n
- The ability to install, operate and troubleshoot audio systems confidently
n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
- A professional approach when working with clients, venues and other suppliers
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to technical excellence
n
- The ability to remain calm and solve problems under pressure
n
- A reliable, flexible and positive attitude
n
- The ability to work event-related hours, including some evenings and weekends
n
n
A current driver’s licence is preferred. Relevant licences, training or industry certifications will also be highly regarded.
