Permanent full-time or part-time scientist position Grade 1 or Grade 2 n

Histolab is an independent, pathologist owned and managed pathology laboratory in Kew East. The laboratory processes primarily specimens received from dermatologists and specialist plastic surgeons.

Our laboratory staff are involved in all aspects of routine histology including immunohistochemistry and surgical cut-up.

n

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Medical Scientist (38 hours per week) Monday to Friday. For the right candidate, we are also open to considering a permanent part time position.

n

The successful applicant will participate in a rotating roster, although a preferred set roster may be considered for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be expected to have: n

- A Bachelor of Applied Science (Laboratory Medicine)



or equivalent qualification.

- Excellent knowledge and practical aptitude across routine histological techniques, including embedding, microtomy, immunohistochemistry and special stains.
n
- Experience in surgical cut-up is desirable but not essential.
n
- A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
n
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
n
- A motivated and positive approach to laboratory work.
