1. Help run the outdoor kitchen business n

- Check every drawing and selection before production — flag problems early

- Plan and schedule workshop production with Mike
n
- Order materials, doors and hardware
n

- Keep the workshop organised, safe, stocked and maintained and build any required improvements

- Improve the process — you'll help shape how Carve runs

2. Operate the CNC nn
- Run CNC nesting and cutting for carcasses and panels
n
- Prepare and check files, optimise sheet yield, minimise waste
n
- Book routine machine maintenance, tooling changes and calibration
n
- Quality-check parts before assembly
n
- Provide feed back
n
- (our software helps allot with this)
n

3. Design basic outdoor kitchens nn
- Turn client briefs and site measures into basic layouts using our design tools
n
- Set out appliance bays to manufacturer specs (BBQs, fridges, sinks, ventilation, clearances)
n
- Nest the outdoor kitchens to be cut
n
- Work with Mike and the estimator so designs match what was quoted
n

4. Assemble and install nn
- Assemble carcasses, fit doors, drawers with quality hardware
n
- Install on site: level, scribed, fixed,
n
- Coordinate with plumbers, electricians, gasfitters and stone fabricators on site
n
- Fit-off,



adjust and hand over to a high standard
n

5. Back up the decking crew nn
- Work with the carpentry crew on decks, pergolas and outdoor structures when the workshop is quiet
n
- Finishing carpentry, decking, bench seats and built-ins
n

What we expect from you nn
- Quality: Work leaves the workshop right. Rework is tracked and should be rare but the main thing is we learn from it.
n

- Hours vs quote: Jobs land within quoted hours. If one is blowing out, you tell us early and track why.
n
- Accuracy: Designs, CNC files, cutting lists and door orders are checked before they're released.
n
- Ownership: You treat the outdoor kitchen division like it's partly yours
n
- Communication: Daily timesheets, job notes and photos in our system. Raise issues the same day.
n
- Reliability: Always punctual and you try solving the problem before you tell us.
n
- Site conduct: You're the face of the business in clients' homes — tidy, respectful, skilled.
n
- Safety: Follow WHS procedures, wear PPE, maintain machinery and report hazards.
n
- Flexibility: Workshop majority of the time but it the carpenters need a hand you go where the business needs you.
n

What you need nn
- Trade qualification in cabinet making or joinery (Cert III) — carpentry experience a big plus
n
- 3–5+ years' post-trade experience
n
- CNC operating experience is a bonus or be willing to learn (nesting software experience a bonus)
n
- The ability to follow instructions well
n
- Confident reading plans and producing cutting lists
n

- Own hand and power tools, current driver's licence, reliable transport and White Card
n
