The HIPPY Mentor plays a vital role in supporting families through the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY). This part-time position involves working closely with parents to enhance their children’s early learning experiences, fostering a positive workplace for educational development. The Mentor will contribute to the charity’s mission of empowering families and promoting community engagement in Australia.

Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance and support to families participating in the HIPPY program.

- Facilitate home visits to assist parents in implementing educational activities with their children.

- Organise and lead group sessions for parents to share experiences and strategies.

- Monitor and evaluate the progress of families within the programme.

- Collaborate with local community organisations to enhance resources and support for families.
n
- Maintain accurate records of family engagement and progress.
n
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Experience in community work or education, preferably in a mentoring or support role.
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with families.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- A passion for early childhood education and community development.
n
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
n
- A valid Drivers Licence
n
- A valid Working with Children Check or equivalent.
n
- A National Police Check
