Job Description
Our client requires and experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their busy team. You will be working in a team of 4 in payroll
Job tasks and responsibilities n
Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for assisting with the following:
n
The Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for:
n
Coordinate timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll for all staff in accordance with current Enterprise Agreements, contracts and company policies and procedures including:
n
Review and coding of timesheets
n
Maintenance and payment to external organisations of all related employee deductions
n
Reconciliation and recovery of workers compensation payments
n
Reconciliation of all payroll related functions including fortnightly superannuation requirements
n
Updating and maintenance of payroll system history and records
n
Provide advice, guidance and support to Payroll Officers, the broader finance department and HR on payroll specific matters
n
Maintaining the integrity of the payroll system and associated processes through accurate and complete administrative and payroll processes, data entry,
record keeping and document management.
n
Payroll testing as required
n
Ensure a fair and consistent approach to payroll related enquiries and advice.
n
Undertaking research and the collection of data to assist in the administration of projects.
n
Assisting with any Payroll and finance projects as required
n
Continuously strive for process improvements in the payroll function
n
Assisting in the review of Payroll procedures and work instructions
n
Undertaking timely internal and statutory reporting as well as end of year and ad-hoc reporting
n
Producing ad hoc reports including payroll, leave, pay rates, allowances, costing reports etc.) in response to customer/manager requests.
Skills & Experience n
Our client is looking for a senior payroll officer with proven experience in working across different awards and delivering within

Minimum 3-5 years experience
n
The ability to solve problems
n
Ability to work both autonomously and also be part of a team
