Delivery Centric is seeking an experienced Senior Datacom DBA Consultant to provide specialist database administration support within a complex IBM Mainframe environment.

This is a hands-on role focused on administering and supporting Datacom databases, ensuring database reliability, performance and availability across development and testing environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain Datacom databases.
- Build, configure, refresh and restore database environments.
- Support development and testing teams with database-related activities.
- Diagnose and resolve database and performance issues.
- Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery activities.
- Monitor and tune database performance.
- Support migration, testing and implementation preparation activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team.

Mandatory Skills & Experience





- 10+ years of hands-on Datacom DBA experience.
- Strong experience in Datacom database administration, maintenance, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex database and performance issues.
- Experience supporting application development and testing environments.
- Strong experience working within IBM Mainframe environments.
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance.

Desirable Skills

- Experience within banking, insurance or other regulated industries.
- Experience supporting migration or modernisation programs.
- Knowledge of data migration, transformation and reconciliation activities.
- Familiarity with mainframe scheduling and performance monitoring tools.
