Genus Industrial Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of the Koolunga Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project in South Australia.

n

This is an excellent opportunity to join a major clean-energy project and play a key role in coordinating electrical engineering activities from construction through to testing, commissioning and handover.

The Role Your Responsibilities Will Include n

n
- Interpreting client scopes of work, technical specifications and electrical design drawings.
n
- Providing technical guidance and support to the electrical project team.
n
- Preparing, reviewing and coordinating electrical work packs, MDRs, ITPs, drawings, ITRs, JSAs and SWMS.
n
- Raising and managing technical queries through to resolution.
n
- Coordinating electrical works, resources and engineering deliverables.
n
- Monitoring compliance with project schedules, contractual milestones and applicable standards.
n
- Conducting site inspections to confirm installations meet design and project requirements.
n
- Establishing field-testing methods and monitoring the quality of electrical testing activities.
n
- Supporting construction verification, commissioning, turnover and handover documentation.
n
- Preparing red-line drawing mark-ups and maintaining accurate records for as-built documentation.
n
- Identifying design, construction and constructability issues and developing practical solutions.
n
- Reviewing electrical engineering deliverables for quality, accuracy and compliance.
n
- Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical matters promptly.
n
- Contributing to project reporting, performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You To Be Successful In This Position, You Will Have nn
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
n
- At least three years' experience in an Electrical Project Engineer position.
n
- Previous experience within construction, utilities, resources, energy or major infrastructure projects.
n




- The ability to interpret scopes of work, technical specifications and electrical drawings.
n
- Experience preparing and reviewing construction, quality and handover documentation.
n
- Familiarity with Australian regulations, industry standards and engineering best practice.
n
- Solid analytical, numerical and problem-solving capabilities.
n
- Excellent organisation, planning and time-management skills.
n
- The ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office, MS Project or Primavera P6.
n
- Familiarity with drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation or SolidWorks.
n
- A current Australian driver's licence.
n
- A Construction White Card.
n
- The ability to obtain or provide a current National Police Clearance.
n
