- Support busy Emergency Departments across both Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals

- Work closely with nursing, medical, clinical and administrative teams

What you’ll be doing As an Emergency Department Administration Officer, you’ll provide high-level administrative and frontline support, ensuring patients, clinicians and stakeholders receive accurate and timely service.
n
n
- Register and update patient information accurately using iPM and FirstNet
n
- Manage admissions, medical records, data entry and associated documentation
n
- Provide professional communication and support to clinical teams and internal and external stakeholders
n
- Manage cash handling, receipting and daily cash balancing in accordance with LHD procedures
n
- Provide administrative and switchboard support, including responding to MET calls, codes and alarms when required
n
n

Requirements n
n
- Extensive experience in an administrative role, with demonstrated experience in exceptional customer service skills the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
n
- Demonstrated superior verbal, written, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills and effective communication with all levels of a large organisation.
n
- Demonstrated organisational skills with proven ability in accuracy, initiative and flexibility.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge and competency in the use of IT applications including Microsoft Office and data information skills.
n
- Ability to work autonomously and actively participate within a multidisciplinary team.
n
- Ability to multitask and handle unexpected matters when they arise in a professional & courteous manner
n
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster
n
