Medical Director - Home based - Australia

n As a Medical Director, Clinical Research & Development at ICON, you will provide medical leadership and strategic direction to clinical development programs.
n You will be partnering with a global pharmaceutical company passionate about transforming patients' lives and committed to scientific rigor, unassailable ethics, and access to medical innovations for all. Key therapeutic area experience in Obesity and GLP 1 treatments is essential.
What You Will Do:
n You will lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team.
n Key responsibilities include:
n + Providing medical and scientific oversight for clinical trials, ensuring that study protocols are scientifically sound and aligned with regulatory requirements.
n + Collaborating with clinical operations, regulatory, and safety teams to drive the successful execution of clinical development programs.
n + Developing and reviewing clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, and other key study documents.
n + Interpreting clinical trial data and providing medical insights to inform decision-making and guide clinical development strategies.




n + Building relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and external stakeholders to support clinical development initiatives.
Your Profile:
n You will bring significant medical affairs experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.
n Required qualifications and experience:
n + Medical degree (MD) or equivalent qualification.
n + Extensive experience in clinical research and development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
n + Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and GCP guidelines.
n + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on interpreting clinical data and driving evidence-based decisions.
n + Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams.
n + Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%)
