Key Responsibilities: n
University of Sydney Preparation Programme Teachers will work as directed by Academic Managers in a range of areas related to their field(s) of expertise. They will undertake duties such as:
n
Facilitation of Teaching, Learning, Assessment and Feedback, to include;
n
n
- Review and manage Moodle by setting up and/or updating module delivery content (lecture, tutorial, workshop, lab and/or assessment) in line with teaching activities.
n
- Develop, setup and confirm accuracy of assessment (including online rubrics) in Moodle
n
- Review on an ongoing basis the learning management system (moodle) module gradebooks for accuracy and accessibility to staff and students.
n
- Prepare and provide feedback on formative assessment tasks.
n
- Ensure marking of assessments with sufficient detailed feedback to assist student’s academic improvement.
n
- Support the communication to students of the USYD Partnership Student Success Policy Framework.
n
- Be responsible for effective classroom management (i.e. attendance, in-class behaviour)enabling student success for all.
n
Module Delivery: nn
- Prepare, maintain evaluate teaching and learning resourcesto reflect current good practice.
n
- Prepare for and manage College intervention weeks providing feedback on student progress.
n
- Assist with diagnostic assessment of student learning support.
n
Academic Scholarship: nn
- Engage with Navitas professional updating to support currency in teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
n
- Provide feedback report after attending scholarly activities (i.e. conferences, seminars etc.)
n
- Participate in College Peer Observation programme.
n
General Administration: nn
- Take student roll and record attendance for each session.
n
- Maintain accurate records of enrolled users in Moodle.
n
- Ensure student assessments are marked and student outcomes are accurately uploaded to moodle in a timely manner as identified in the Academic Calendar.
n
- Participate in meetings, activities and networks (both internal and external) relevant to the Teacher position.

- Tertiary qualifications in education and/or a relevant field of expertise and related Academic Discipline...

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience with a learning management system to assist and enhance the Module delivery.
n

- Demonstrated understanding of and empathy for an International Education environment.
n
nn
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, embrace change and manage competing priorities.

- Working with children check undertaken prior to appointment
n

- Experience of facilitating learning in a Higher Education International Student setting.

- Demonstrable knowledge of quality principles and methodology incorporating continuous improvement initiatives.

- Expertise in curriculum design and the use of learning technologies.
