You'll only need to drop in occasionally to replenish supplies or attend face-to-face training sessions at the Sorell and Moonah offices, giving you the flexibility to focus on what matters most: your clients.

Description About The Position n

The District Nurses (TDN) is a long-standing Tasmanian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping people age and live well in their own homes for as long as possible.

n

We're seeking compassionate Domestic Assistants to join our southern region team on a permanent part-time basis.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will: n

- Perform general household tasks including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
n
- Support clients with washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes and linen
n
- Assist with meal preparation and light kitchen duties
n
- Complete unaccompanied grocery shopping and other appropriate errands as needed
n
- Ensure the home environment is safe and report any concerns
n
- Provide friendly companionship and conversation to reduce isolation and build positive connections
n





Skills and Experiences About You n

You don't need previous support work experience; we'll provide full training. Prior cleaning experience will be highly regarded.

- Able to work autonomously and responsibly

- Comfortable using basic technology (e.g. smartphone or tablet use)

- Physically capable of performing the role
n
- An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills

Essential Requirements to be provided nn
- A valid unrestricted driver's licence and access to a registered, insured and roadworthy vehicle
n
- National Police Check
n
- Working with Vulnerable People (Employee) Check with NDIS endorsement
n
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
n
- Two professional referees - a Manager/Supervisor or Team Leader that you have reported to directly
n
