Job Description

We are a boutique law firm seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our team on a casual basis providing support on an ad-hoc basis across Commercial Law , Commercial Litigation and Employment Law matters.

This is a flexible opportunity suited to an experienced lawyer who can assist the firm on a variety of matters as well as business development for a growing private law firm .

This flexible role suits an experienced legal practitioner with at least 5 years’ post-admission experience (PQE) who can manage legal work with a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Advise on commercial contracts, transactions and general commercial matters
n
- Advise on employment contracts, policies and workplace issues
n
- Manage and advise on building and property disputes
n
- Manage and advise on commercial disputes, debt recovery and settlement documents
n
- Conduct legal research, negotiations and client conferences
n
- Contribute to business-development activities and practice-management processes
n
- Manage your own files, deadlines, budgets and client communications
n
- Assist with training and mentoring
n

About you nn
- Admission as an Australian lawyer and a current practising certificate,



or eligibility to obtain one in Victoria
n
- At least 5 years’ PQE
n
- Demonstrated experience in commercial law, commercial litigation and employment law
n
- Robust drafting, advisory, negotiation and matter-management skills
n
- Sound commercial judgement and the ability to work independently
n
- High professional and ethical standards
n
