Position Purpose n
The Talent Acquisition Advisor works within a small People and Culture team to deliver end-to-end recruitment services across the department. The role partners with hiring managers and key stakeholders to attract, select, and onboard high-quality candidates using PageUp (HRIS), ensuring a candidate-centric, merit-based hiring experience that aligns with departmental policies and strategies.
Key Responsibilities End-to-End Recruitment & Stakeholder Management n
n
- n
Partner with business leaders and hiring managers to scope clear, fit-for-purpose assignment briefs and manage the full recruitment lifecycle following an agreed methodology.

- n
Guide, educate, and support line managers to make merit-based hiring decisions at every stage.
n
- n
Assist with longlisting, shortlisting, phone screening, interview scheduling, interview guide preparation, and panel selection assistance.
n
System & Compliance Workflows nn
- n
Utilize PageUp (HRIS) to log position requisitions, execute selection workflows, facilitate offers, and manage onboarding processes.
n
- n
Facilitate pre-employment screening, including functional assessments, qualification verifications, visa checks, Police Checks, and Working with Children Checks (WWCC).
n
- n
Maintain fair, transparent,
and compliant record-keeping practices in line with relevant legislation and policies.
n
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement nn
- n
Partner with People and Culture Senior Business Partners, Injury Management, and Payroll to share insights and align recruitment/onboarding needs.
n
- n
Identify opportunities to optimize recruitment processes and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with broader People and Culture strategies.
n
- n
Deliver customer-centric service to improve the overall candidate experience and elevate the department's employer brand.
n
Qualifications & Experience Requirements Essential & Desirable Qualifications nn
- n
Education: Graduate qualifications in Business Administration or Human Resources are highly desirable.
n
- n
HRIS Systems: Proven experience with HRIS recruitment workflows; hands-on experience with PageUp is highly desirable.
n
- n
Industry Experience: Prior recruitment experience within local government, the public sector, or a regulated, fast-paced corporate environment.
n
Skills & Competencies nn
