OSMAC Apprenticeships is seeking a motivated first-year -4th year Signwriting Apprentices to complete a Certificate III in Signs and Graphics with an award winning - well established signage business in the greater Brisbane area.

n

This opportunity would particularly suit:

- Year 12 students graduating in 2026
n
- People who completed school during the past two years
n
- Creative people interested in graphics, printing, art or design
n
- Practical learners who enjoy and valuable with using computer program, operate machinery and tools
n

n

Previous industry experience is not required. We are looking for someone with strong interests in the trade, attention to detail, a strong work ethic and a good team player!

About the trade n

Signwriting combines creativity, computer technology and practical trade skills. You will have the satisfaction of seeing your completed work displayed across the Brisbane!

n

Working alongside experienced signwriters, you will learn how to design, print, manufacture, install and maintain many different types of signage.

n

Your work may include:

n

n
- Learning to use graphic-design and specialised signage software
n
- Operating printers, cutting equipment and sign-manufacturing machinery
n
- Printing, cutting and applying vinyl graphics
n
- Preparing surfaces for signage and painting
n
- Measuring, assembling and manufacturing signs
n
- Installing signs safely at different locations
n
- Maintaining,



repairing and replacing existing signage
n
- Producing vehicle graphics, shopfront signs and business signage
n
- Working on signs for councils, airport, hotels, hospitals and schools
n
- Assisting with small individual signs through to major commercial display projects
n
- Learning to use hand and power tools safely and accurately
n

About you n

We would like to hear from you if you:

- Have Australian working rights
n
- Hold a current manual driver’s licence or close to obtain one
n
- Have a genuine interest in signs, graphics, printing, painting or design
n
- Are creative and have good attention to detail
n
- Are willing to learn different computer programs
n
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work
n
- Are interested in learning to operate printers and manufacturing equipment
n
- Can follow measurements and produce work to a high standard
n
- Are reliable, punctual and ready to work
n
- Listen carefully and follow instructions
n
- Can work respectfully and effectively as part of a team
n
- Are comfortable working at heights when required
n
- Understand the importance of workplace safety
n
- Experience with graphic-design software, art, painting, photography, printing, woodworking, metalwork or tools would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
