The Works Supervisor (Natural Areas) leads a works team in the professional, diligent performance of duties associated with the construction, maintenance and repair of Council’s parks and gardens to a best practice standard, and assists the Works Coordinator to coordinate resources in a proactive, cost effective and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Supervise, lead and support works staff to ensure timely completion of daily and monthly programs, whilst overseeing the completion and submission of staff timesheets
n
- Provide on-call support, coordinating staff, plant and materials in emergency situations
n
- Ensure WHS procedures, inductions, and risk assessments are followed and documented
n
- Report incidents and assist with investigations and safety improvements
n
- Assist with quality and environmental processes, including required documentation
n
- Assist with preparing quotations, including calculating material and resource needs
n

About you nn
- Certificate IV in Local Government Operational Works (or working towards) with relevant workplace experience.
n
- Previous work experience in the implementation and review of Risk Assessments and Safe Work Method Statements for road maintenance and construction activities.
n
- Ability to accurately read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
n
- White Card
n
- Current class C Driver Licence.

- 'Prepare a work zone' Traffic Management Plan Certificate

- A gross weekly salary from $1,654.91 to $1,735.63based on demonstrated competencies, qualifications, skills and experience. Plus 12% superannuation.
