Mid Level Business Analyst / Consultant (Asset Management & Power BI) n

Work Arrangement (Office, Hybrid or WFH):2 days in 4PSQ and 3 days WFH

About the Role n

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Consultant to provide business analysis and asset data management expertise in support of digital transformation initiatives, asset management planning, data governance, and data-driven decision making.

n

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project managers to improve business processes, enhance asset information management, and deliver technology-enabled business outcomes. A key focus of this role will be supporting current project workloads requiring advanced Power BI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Process Improvement n

- Analyse and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.
n
- Identify opportunities for technology-enabled business improvements.
n
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder consultations to gather and validate requirements.
n
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and system requirements.
n
- Develop business cases, process maps, use cases, and functional specifications.
n

Asset Data Management nn
- Maintain and improve asset registers and associated information systems.
n
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of asset data.
n
- Support asset lifecycle management and strategic asset planning initiatives.
n
- Develop processes and controls for effective asset information management.
n
- Monitor and improve asset data quality and reporting standards.
n

Data Governance & Reporting nn
- Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
n
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI and related tools.
n
- Provide insights and recommendations through data analysis and reporting.
n




- Support evidence-based decision-making through accurate and timely information.
n

System Delivery & Change Support nn
- Support system implementation, integration, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
n
- Assist with change management activities, training, and adoption initiatives.
n
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure solution requirements are delivered effectively.
n
- Coordinate issue resolution and support continuous improvement activities.
n

Stakeholder Engagement nn
- Collaborate with business users, project teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
n
- Provide advice and recommendations relating to asset management, reporting, and business improvement.
n
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to achieve project outcomes.
n

Requirements Essential Skills and Experience n

- Business process mapping and process improvement.

- Asset management and asset information systems.
n
- Data governance, data quality, and information management.
n
- SQL development and database querying.
n
- Power BI dashboard development and data visualisation.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel reporting and analysis.
n
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system implementation support.
n
- Stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation.
n
- Change management and business readiness activities.
n
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
n

Desirable Skills n

Experience in one or more of the following would be highly regarded:

- Python programming

- Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems

- Data integration and ETL processes

- Government sector experience
n

Qualifications nn
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Asset Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
n
- Industry certifications in Business Analysis, Asset Management, Data Analytics, or Project Management are desirable.
