Working Arrangements: Primarily on-site – minimum 4 days per week

Initial Contract: 12 months
Maximum Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Ability to obtain and maintain an AFPSecurity Clearance is required for this role.
Role Overview n
The AFP is seeking an experienced End User Computing Engineer / Technical Officer to support the delivery and ongoing management of a secure, up-to-date endpoint environment.
n
The role has a strong focus on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Mobile Device Management, Android devices and endpoint security , with responsibility for configuring, administering and supporting mobile and end-user computing services across the AFP environment.
Key Responsibilities n
The successful candidate will:
n
n
- Design, configure and manage Android mobile devices using Microsoft Intune MDM .
n
- Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID , including: n n
- Conditional Access.
n
- Identity governance and protection.
n
- Authentication policies.
n
- Group and device management.
n
- Role Based Access Control.
n
n
- Manage Azure services supporting Intune, Entra ID and secure endpoint connectivity.
n
- Configure application protection, device compliance and configuration policies.
n
- Implement and maintain endpoint security controls and security baselines.
n
- Troubleshoot technical issues across Intune, Entra ID, mobile devices and endpoint security.
n
- Support secure connectivity, proxy services and managed endpoint internet access.
n
- Maintain technical documentation, configuration records and operational procedures.
n
- Work collaboratively with AFP technical teams and stakeholders.
n
Essential Technical Experience n
Candidates must demonstrate strong hands-on experience across:
n

- Microsoft Intune , including: n n
- Device enrolment.
n
- Mobile Device Management.
n
- Device compliance.
n
- Application deployment.
n
- Endpoint security.
n
- Policy management.
n
n
- Microsoft Entra ID , including: n
n
- Conditional Access.
n
- Identity Protection.
n
- Authentication methods.
n
- Device identity.
n
- RBAC.
n
- Application integration.
n
n
- Administration and support of Android mobile devices .
n
- Windows and Linux operating systems.
n
- Endpoint and mobile device security.
n
- Troubleshooting complex end-user computing and identity issues.
n
Qualifications and Experience n
Candidates must have:
n
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications.
n
- A minimum of five years' experience in a similar role .
n
- Significant hands‑on experience administering Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID environments .
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
n

Location and Working Arrangements n
The role is based in Canberra, ACT and requires a minimum of four days per week on-site to support team and stakeholder engagement.
Candidate Profile n
This opportunity would suit an experienced End User Computing Engineer, EUC Engineer, Endpoint Engineer, Intune Engineer, Modern Workplace Engineer or Microsoft 365 Endpoint Specialist .
n
The strongest candidates will bring deep practical experience across Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Android MDM, endpoint security and identity management , combined with strong troubleshooting skills and experience operating within complex enterprise environments.
