Practice Manager | Allied Health | Bathurst | 25 hours/week Permanent Part-Time
We are a growing speech pathology practice looking for a Practice Manager to join a dedicated team that improves people’s lives. You'll lead the customer service team so speech pathologists can focus on clinical roles. You enjoy working with people, take ownership and make an organisation run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- - Practice operations — client administration, intake, bookings, facilities and workflows
- - People and administration leadership — setting clear expectations, coordinating work and building accountability
- - Financial and business performance — overseeing billing and debtors, monitoring operational performance and acting on emerging issues
- - Systems, compliance and risk — maintaining effective systems, registers, documentation and operational controls
- - Improvement and projects — leading practical improvements that reduce duplication, strengthen systems and make work easier

Location: Bathurst
Employment type: Permanent part-time, 25 hours per week across five days, with potential for hours to increase as the practice grows
Position: Practice Manager
Classification: Support Services Level 9 under MA
How you fit
- - Have experience in practice management,
office management, operations, healthcare administration, professional services or a similar role
- - Can lead a small administration function and create clear accountability
- - Are reliable, thoughtful and confident making decisions within agreed boundaries
- - Have excellent customer service and communication skills and provide a friendly, professional presence at the front desk
- - Can interpret operational or financial information, investigate problems and recommend action
- - Are comfortable with technology and enjoy improving systems and workflows
- - Notice unnecessary paperwork, duplication or gaps and take practical steps to resolve them
- - Can balance service quality, compliance, team needs and financial sustainability
Experience in allied health, healthcare, disability or the NDIS is highly regarded but not essential. We are particularly interested in someone with sound judgement, initiative and the capacity to genuinely own the operational side of the practice.
