The Chef de Partie will be responsible for the below. You will report directly to a Head Chef. Key Duties
n
Your duties will include:
n
n
- Contribute to the construction and costing of menus with new culinary creations
n
- Assisting the Head Chef with the overall operation of the kitchen
n
- Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
n
- Manage the maintenance and ordering stocks and supplies
n
- Manage food costs in line with the budget, along with labour costs
n
- Maintain consistent food standards and cleaning/hygiene routines
n
- Lead the kitchen team to ensure efficient and productive delivery of quality foods
n
- Mentor,
train and develop Chefs on techniques and cooking procedures, food safety regulations and workplace health and safety
n
Qualifications and Experience nn
- To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and work experience:
n
- Certificate IV/Diploma or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
n
- Driven and enthusiastic professional with proven leadership skills.
n
- Sound knowledge of food safety, menu design and awareness of current industry trends.
n
- Exceptional organisational skills and undeniable pride for creating and delivering consistent, high quality produce.
n
- Ability to implement and drive systems and procedures.
n
- Solid team-building and motivational skills with the ability to foster a positive team culture.
n
Experience Required nn
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
