Insolvency & Commercial Litigation Associate | 2-5 PAE | Sydney

Our client is a national litigation firm whose NSW team acts in insolvency disputes, including for trustees, liquidators and receivers, alongside commercial and general litigation. It is looking for an Associate with 2 to 5 years' PQE, predominantly in litigation, who wants to run real files in a lean, high-performing team.

About the role

You will act in insolvency and commercial disputes and pick up wider litigation as it arrives. You will:

- Act in insolvency matters for trustees, liquidators and receivers
- Run commercial and general litigation,



from pleadings and evidence through to hearings and resolution
- Manage matters in the NSW courts, the Federal Court and tribunals, including NCAT
- Advise clients on strategy, prospects and risk at each stage of a dispute
- Work with senior leadership on the more complex files

What you'll bring

- 2 to 5 years' PQE, predominantly in litigation
- Knowledge of the practice and procedure of the NSW and Federal courts
- Hands-on experience managing and running litigation matters
- Admission to practise in Australia and a current practising certificate
- Favourable, not essential: insolvency litigation experience, or experience in insurance, building and construction, or general and commercial litigation
- Favourable: experience with disputes in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal
