Our client is a global engineering and industrial technology organisation with an established customer base across Australia. They provide engineered equipment and associated service solutions to a range of industrial customers and are continuing to grow their aftermarket business.

We are looking for an Aftermarket Business Development Manager to identify, develop and win new service and maintenance opportunities while expanding relationships across key existing accounts.
About the Role n
This is a predominantly recent business development role, with approximately 70% of the position focused on identifying and winning new aftermarket opportunities and 30% focused on account and key-account management.
n
You will work closely with customers and internal service teams to understand operational requirements and develop solutions around service, maintenance and aftermarket support.
Key Responsibilities n
n
- Identify and develop new aftermarket, service and maintenance opportunities
n
- Develop new customer relationships and proactively target prospective accounts
n
- Convert existing customers to longer-term service and maintenance agreements
n
- Identify opportunities to expand service activity within key accounts
n
- Work closely with service teams to develop and deliver customer solutions
n
- Understand market trends, customer requirements and competitive activity
n
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
n
- Support customer retention and satisfaction initiatives
n
- Manage the sales process from opportunity identification through to close
n
- Provide regular pipeline and activity reporting to management
n
- Travel as required to support customers and business development activities
n
About You n
We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development / Sales professional with a strong hunter mentality and experience selling technical products, services or solutions into industrial markets.
n
You will ideally bring:
n

- Proven experience in business development, sales or account management
n
- A track record of developing new business and winning new customers
n
- Experience selling aftermarket, service, maintenance or technical solutions
n
- Strong relationship-building and account management capability
n
- Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into commercial opportunities
n
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
n
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
n
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
n
- Willingness to travel as required
n
n
Experience within industrial equipment, engineering, manufacturing, mining, energy or other technical B2B environments will be highly regarded.
