Join a growing equipment hire business and become the key person responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Port Hedland branch. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in customer service, and can confidently manage equipment dispatch, returns and basic maintenance activities while building strong relationships with customers. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our equipment is ready for hire, customers receive excellent service, and branch operations run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating equipment dispatch and returns
- Preparing equipment for hire
- Inspecting and processing returned equipment
- Conducting basic maintenance, cleaning and servicing
- Liaising with customers regarding hire requirements
- Managing branch enquiries by phone, email and in person
- Maintaining accurate job and equipment records
- Organising freight and transport requirements
- Ensuring high standards of safety and housekeeping
- Supporting stock control and equipment availability
About you
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude
- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
- Experience in equipment hire, construction, industrial services, logistics or a related industry
- Strong computer skills
- A commitment to safety and quality
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
- Forklift licence
- HR driver's licence (desirable)
