About Manufacturing Industry Skills Alliance

The Manufacturing Industry Skills Alliance (Manufacturing Alliance) is an industry-owned, industry-led not-for-profit organisation focused on addressing skills and workforce needs across Australia’s manufacturing sector.

As the Jobs and Skills Council for manufacturing, we work with employers, unions, training providers, learners and governments to identify workforce needs, develop contemporary VET training products and strengthen collaboration across the sector.

We are a growing organisation with an important role in shaping the skilled workforce needed for the future of Australian manufacturing.

About the opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Committee & Taskforce Coordinator to join our team and provide high-quality coordination and secretariat support to our industry advisory committees and Strategic Industry Taskforce.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in secretariat, governance, executive or high-level administrative support who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders and managing multiple priorities.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for:

- Providing secretariat support to the Strategic Industry Taskforce and other advisory committees, including preparing agendas, minutes and meeting papers.
- Coordinating meeting schedules, invitations, attendance and follow-up.
- Maintaining accurate records, governance documentation and action registers, and following up outstanding actions.
- Managing incoming communications and providing general administrative support, including travel bookings, filing, data entry and document preparation.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date external stakeholder databases.

- Supporting continuous improvement of administrative processes, filing systems, databases and procedures.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of committee and taskforce support and identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
- Working collaboratively across the organisation to ensure committee and taskforce activities align with broader organisational priorities.
- Supporting other activities and requirements as they arise.

About you

You are an organised, detail-focused professional who enjoys bringing structure to complex workflows and ensuring things get done.

You will have:

- Demonstrated experience in secretariat, governance, executive or high-level administrative support.
- Robust organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple meeting cycles, deadlines and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to build effective working relationships and confidently follow up actions and deliverables.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field.

Why join us?

At Manufacturing Alliance, you will have the opportunity to contribute to work that has a direct impact on the future skills and workforce of Australian manufacturing.

You will work with a broad range of industry, government, education and training stakeholders and gain exposure to important sector-wide workforce and skills initiatives.

If you are a highly organised coordinator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality support, we would love to hear from you.
