Meerilinga is seeking an enthusiastic, capable and community-minded Community Service Coordinator to lead our Hilton Children and Community Service.

This is a diverse leadership role that goes beyond the day-to-day operation of an early childhood service. You will lead and support a team of educators, build strong relationships with children and families, strengthen connections within the Hilton community, and ensure the service continues to provide high-quality, inclusive, and responsive programs.

As Community Service Coordinator, you will also undertake the role of Nominated Supervisor, providing leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operation of the approved education and care service.

About the role

As the Community Service Coordinator at Hilton, a small service operating for und 30 children, you will provide leadership and management across all aspects of the service, supporting educators and staff to deliver high-quality outcomes while ensuring the service operates in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, frameworks, funding requirements and Meerilinga policies.

A key focus of the position is creating a positive and supportive team culture while maintaining high standards of education, care, compliance and community engagement. This role also offers the potential to expand your leadership responsibilities to include oversight of our Coolbellup Children and Community Service in the future.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing solid day-to-day leadership to educators and staff and undertaking the responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor.

- Leading and supporting continuous improvement,



including the service's self-assessment and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

- Working collaboratively with the Educational Leader and Curriculum Leader to support high-quality, play-based programs that respond to children's ideas, strengths and abilities.

- Mentoring, supporting and developing educators to strengthen practice and build a positive team culture.

- Ensuring the service meets its obligations under the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations and National Quality Standard.

- Maintaining effective enrolment, booking, CCS and service administration processes.

- Ensuring appropriate staffing arrangements, qualifications and ratios are maintained.

- Building strong, respectful relationships with children and families.

- Developing partnerships and connections with local organisations, community groups, government agencies and other stakeholders.

- Promoting the service and identifying opportunities to increase participation and engagement.

- Supporting community programs, events and activities that respond to the needs and aspirations of the local community.

- Overseeing the safety, presentation, maintenance and effective operation of the Hilton service.

About you

We are looking for someone who is confident, organized, and approachable, with the ability to lead a team while building genuine relationships with children, families, and the wider community.

You will be comfortable taking responsibility for the operation of a service, supporting staff performance, managing competing priorities and responding appropriately when issues arise.

Ideally, you will bring:

- A Diploma-level qualification or above relevant to the position.

- A minimum of 5 years' experience within a child care or community care setting.





- Leadership experience within an early childhood education and care environment.

- Willingness and ability to undertake the role of Nominated Supervisor.

- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework.

- Knowledge of Child Care Subsidy and associated compliance requirements.

- Strong organisational, administrative and time-management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- The ability to mentor, guide and support educators.

- Confidence in developing relationships and partnerships with families and the community.

- The ability to work autonomously, use initiative and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong IT skills.

Essential requirements

The successful applicant will be required to hold or obtain the relevant employment clearances and qualifications, including a current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting, current CPR/Asthma/Anaphylaxis requirements and accredited Child Protection training.

A current driver's license, reliable transport and Australian residency or appropriate working rights are also required.
