Position Purpose
Reporting to the Head Chef, as a Chef, you will play a key role in managing the kitchen team and ensuring a high standard of consistency and quality. Your responsibilities include overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising shifts, and collaborating with a highly efficient and cohesive team to prepare and produce exceptional dishes. You will uphold the highest kitchen standards and quality control, contribute to achieving consistent gross profit and wage targets, and manage wages, stocktakes, and GP monitoring. This role offers the opportunity to operate within a newly renovated kitchen environment, supporting the Head Chef in delivering outstanding culinary experiences.
Key Accountabilities
• Preparing and producing dishes on the line with our highly efficient and harmonious kitchen team
• Maintaining high level kitchen standards and quality
• Assisting in achieving consistent GP and wage results
• Overseeing the food preparation, cooking and cleaning processes
• Ensuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations
• Assist in the efficient Kitchen operations
• Wage management, stocktake and GP monitoring
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Minimum 1 years' experience as Chef in a high-volume venue
• Demonstrated commitment to exceptional standards of food preparation and service
• Proven experience with seasonal, made-to-order menus.
• Knowledge and experience of kitchen food safety systems
• Ability to work under pressure and is an excellent team player
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proficient in stocktaking and cost control
• Ability to travel independently & reliably
