About the role

As a Senior Security Technician, you'll be the technical lead across both project delivery and service in Sydney. One week you might be commissioning a new access control and CCTV installation; the next, you're tracking down a complex fault on a critical site and getting it back online. On projects, you'll own the technical delivery from rough-in to handover, covering system programming, commissioning, quality assurance and as-built documentation. On service, you'll handle preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs, and you'll be the escalation point for the faults others can't solve. You'll work closely with Project Managers, the service team, clients, subcontractors and suppliers. You'll also mentor less-experienced technicians and apprentices and help lift technical standards as our Sydney team grows.

Key responsibilities

- Install, program, commission and maintain access control, intrusion detection, CCTV and video management systems, along with intercoms and other integrated security platforms

- Lead projects on site from rough-in to handover, including client liaison and as-built documentation

- Diagnose and fix faults on preventative maintenance and reactive service calls

- Configure network components such as IP addressing, VLANs, PoE switching and remote access

- Mentor junior technicians and apprentices, and check their work meets our standards





- Complete job sheets, test reports and site documentation on time and accurately

- Follow WHS requirements and help keep sites safe

About you

- 3+ years' hands-on experience in CCTV, Alarm and access control systems

- Able to work mix of project and service work

- Security Licence

- Experience across a range of leading platforms such as Gallagher, Inner Range, Genetec, Milestone, Geutebrück, Tecom (Challenger), Axis or Vivotek

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines

- Transparent communication with clients

- Working at Heights and EWP tickets

- Ability to pass a National Police Check
