Who are we looking for?
We're interested in hearing from experienced Energy & Resources lawyers to join us and commence their LOD journey.
In working with LOD, you will have the prospect to support clients across a broad range of mining and resources matters. This can include advising on land access, native title, heritage and tenure issues, managing Wardens Court matters, and preparing and negotiating related legal documentation.
Depending on client needs, you may also be involved in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial resources agreements, including joint venture, royalty, operating, haulage and sale and purchase agreements. Opportunities can also extend to corporate and transactional work, including capital raisings, ASX-related matters, transaction documentation and other strategic projects within the resources sector.
To join us, you will:
- Have at least 3-15 years PQE experience gained in private practice and/or in-house roles, ideally within the mining, resources, energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Bring an interest in, or exposure to, areas such as commercial contracting, projects, native title, land access, corporate transactions or related resources work.
- Be client centric - commercially minded, adaptable and able to hit the ground running
- Enjoy partnering with businesses and managing stakeholder relationships
