ABOUT THE COMPANY. This national construction company which has been operating for close to 20 years has a proven track record of delivering multiple award-winning commercial projects valued from $2M to $20M. They specialise in high-quality fitout and refurbishment projects across commercial, government, education, retail, hospitality, and industrial works. Their diverse project portfolio continues to expand and as a result of this ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator or Estimating Manager to take on a leading role within an already high performing Estimating department and support the team in securing commercial fitout projects.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

Working closely with the Pre-Construction Manager, you will support a high-performing estimating team in pricing projects, and create tender submissions. You will receive the guidance and support needed to successfully secure projects for the company and in turn play a big part in the growth and development of the company. This position is best suited to someone looking for accelerated growth and progression in their career.

DUTIES.

- Prepare tenders, take-offs, and cost estimates
- Review supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive proposals
- Mentor junior estimators to develop budgets and cost breakdowns
- Maintain accurate project cost records and assist in bid presentation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

- Previous exposure estimating and tendering commercial fitout and refurbishment projects




- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred)
