As part of Genus, you'll join an experienced team delivering some of Australia's significant infrastructure projects, with opportunities to build your career across a growing national business.Genus has two opportunities are available. One position is offered on a fixed 8/6 roster, while the second position operates on a variable roster that will change according to project requirements. The roster may involve varying periods on site, from several days through to multiple weeks, with no fixed roster pattern.
About the Role
Reporting to the SHEQ Manager and Project Manager, you'll work closely with operational teams to provide practical safety leadership across a range of project activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing day-to-day SHEQ advice and support to project teams
• Promoting a strong safety culture through visible field leadership
• Conducting site inspections, audits and workplace observations
• Investigating incidents and facilitating corrective actions
• Assisting with SWMS,
risk assessments and safety documentation
• Supporting contractor onboarding and compliance
• Delivering toolbox talks and SHEQ training
• Monitoring legislative compliance and company standards
• Building strong relationships with operational teams, clients and stakeholders
About You
• 2 opportunities available, with 8/6 and flexible roster arrangements depending on project requirements
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
• 3+ years' experience in a SHEQ Advisor role
• Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure or resources
• ICAM Investigation Training (highly regarded)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to influence positive safety behaviours across diverse workforces
