About the role

Dollar Quality Pty Ltd t/a Angel Construction is seeking an Architectural Draftsperson

to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Port Douglas, QLD. As

an Architectural Draftsperson, you will play a crucial role in translating architectural

designs and concepts into detailed technical drawings and specifications. This

position is essential to our project delivery process, ensuring that all designs are

accurately documented and communicated to construction teams, clients and

stakeholders.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation

Key responsibilities

 Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections and

construction details using CAD software

 Translate architectural sketches and design concepts provided by senior architects into

accurate technical documentation

 Maintain consistency with architectural standards, building codes and regulations

throughout all drawing sets

 Collaborate with architects, engineers and project teams to ensure drawings accurately

reflect project requirements and specifications

 Create and update drawing schedules,



material lists and technical specifications

 Conduct quality checks on drawings to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors

before submission

 Prepare drawing sets for submission to clients, regulatory bodies and construction

contractors

 Manage drawing files, versions and documentation in an organised and efficient

manner

 Assist with site surveys and measurements as required for project documentation

 Contribute to the development of standard templates and drawing protocols to

improve workflow efficiency

What we are looking for

 AQF Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Architectural Drafting, Architectural

Technician or equivalent relevant qualification, or minimum three years of relevant

work experience

 Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, Revit or

similar programmes

 Demonstrated understanding of architectural drawings, building codes and

construction practices

 Strong technical drawing skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

 Knowledge of Australian Building Standards and relevant regulatory requirements

 Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage

multiple projects simultaneously

 Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with architects,

engineers and project teams





 Ability to interpret and work from architectural sketches, specifications and project

briefs

 Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to identify and resolve drafting challenges

 Professional approach to work with a commitment to quality and continuous

improvement

 Preferred: Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software and

practices

 Preferred: Previous experience in architectural practices or construction-related

environments

 Preferred: Knowledge of project management software and document control systems
