Hourly Rate: $58.41 per hour (base hourly rate inclusive of Worker Retention Payment and $2 remote allowance) plus $11.48 per hour Regional Locality Allowance

One Tree Mangkurla-Ngaarntu Maya Children’s Service is located in the close-knit Pilbara community of Pannawonica, where children, families, culture and community are at the centre of everything we do.
We’re looking for an experienced Director to lead our service and team for a 12-month maternity leave contract. As Director, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, support and inspire your team, build strong relationships with families and community, and drive high-quality education and care.

We’re looking for a confident and organised leader with strong communication skills, a genuine interest in community engagement and an understanding of the unique opportunities that come with living and working remotely.
This is an opportunity to step into a meaningful leadership role in a remote community while being supported by the wider One Tree Community Services network.

Selection Criteria

- Minimum 4 years' experience within early childhood education and care
- Demonstrated leadership experience within early childhood education
- Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and MTOP
- Experience leading, mentoring and supporting teams
- Experience with service operations, compliance and quality improvement
- Experience contributing to Assessment and Rating
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff and community
- Commitment to children’s rights and high-quality outcomes
- Understanding of remote communities and an ability to work respectfully within a culturally diverse community
- Genuine interest in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities

Requirements

- Eligible to work in Australia and willing to relocate to Pannawonica
- Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
- Current WA Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Relevant leadership experience
- Ability to fulfil the responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person
- Ability to undertake Educational Leader, WHS and First Aid Officer responsibilities as required
