About the team
Join our dynamic property team and play a key role in supporting some of Victoria’s most significant real estate and property development projects.
Our property practice is one of the leading Australian practices working with clients on a range of matters including large-scale capital transactions, property development work and commercial, industrial and retail leasing. Our clients include listed and unlisted real estate investment funds, developers, superannuation funds, and the Victorian Government.
About the role
We are currently seeking a career Legal Assistant with experience in a commercial property practice who enjoys the dynamics of a busy practice.
Working closely with Partner, Natashia Ackroyd and her team of lawyers, day to day you can expect to:
- Provide high-level legal and administrative support to Natashia and her team including managing diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, emails and competing priorities.
- Open, maintain and close matter files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Prepare, proofread and finalise legal documents, correspondence, reports and meeting materials.
- Support property, leasing, managed investment scheme and real estate investment trust matters.
- Coordinate searches, due diligence, transaction checklists, document execution and completion processes.
- Liaise with clients, counterparties, government bodies, consultants, agents, financiers and advisers.
- Manage billing, time-entry follow-up, disbursements, client and matter records and business development support.
- Collaborate with internal teams within the firm, maintain confidentiality and comply with firm policies and skilled obligations.
About you
You will be an experienced and motivated Legal Assistant who is client focused and committed to achieving team goals. You will have excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills,
a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude.
You will have the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and follow instructions, and a strong desire to contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture.
We are seeking a candidate with prior experience with end of month billing (Aderant experience will be highly regarded) and strong capability in Word, Excel and PEXA.
This role will suit career Legal Assistants who genuinely enjoy property law work.
