We are seeking an experienced Construction HSE&T; Consultant to support our major capital projects portfolio at Alcoa’s Pinjarra locations.
Embedded within the Pinjarra-based project teams, you will provide expert Health, Safety, Environment and Training (HSE&T;) guidance to Capital Projects leads, Project Managers, construction teams and associated contractors.
You will play a key role in maintaining strong HSE&T; oversight across project activities, helping ensure work is undertaken in accordance with Alcoa standards and applicable statutory requirements.
What you’ll be responsible for
As a key interface between Alcoa leadership, contractors and site-based work groups, you will:
- Provide expert HSE&T; guidance across major capital project activities.
- Support Project Managers, project leads and construction teams on HSE&T; matters.
- Work closely with contractors to promote compliance with project and site requirements.
- Help ensure compliance with Alcoa standards and relevant statutory requirements.
- Provide visible HSE&T; leadership within the Pinjarra project teams.
- Support continuity of HSE oversight across the major capital projects portfolio.
- Build effective working relationships across leadership, contractor and site teams.
About you
We are looking for an experienced HSE&T; skilled with demonstrated construction HSE leadership experience in high-risk industries.
You will be comfortable working closely with project leadership, construction teams and contractors in a site-based project environment. Your ability to provide practical HSE&T; guidance while maintaining a strong focus on standards and statutory compliance will be important to your success in the role.
Given the need to maintain continuity of HSE oversight across the Pinjarra projects, immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.
